REFUND POLICY

 REFUND POLICY FOR RETURNS OR EXCHANGES

We know how important this purchase is to you and because of that, we take special care in packing your order. Sometimes though, some orders may shift in transit and may cause parts to become loose or fall off. We do not have control over manufacturers imperfections in some factory produced models. While not common, they do at times occur. If however your purchase is defective or damaged beyond repair, we will be more than happy to exchange it for the exact same model.

There are also times that a manufacturer may change the packaging of certain models. This will not reflect any changes to the model you are purchasing. This change is also out of our control and will not be a reason for return or exchange.

Please read the entire policy that follows:

21 DAY RETURNS

  • Our return policy for lasts 21 days. If you are not satisfied with the product you purchased, you can return it within 21 days of purchase for a prompt and courteous refund or exchange. To complete your return or exchange we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
  • All original shipping fees are non-refundable. 
  • The only exception to this policy is where MainStreetDiecastClassics.com has made an error by shipping an incorrect item to the customer. Once the incorrect item is returned back to the warehouse and inspected, either a correct replacement unit will be shipped out or a refund will be issued for the full amount of the order if the correct unit is unavailable.
  • You will also be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning item or items. Once received and inspected, MainStreetDiecastClassics.com will reimburse the standard ground delivery fee posted on return package.
  • The only exception to this policy is where MainStreetDiecastClassics.com has made an error by shipping an incorrect item to the customer. Once the incorrect item is returned back to the warehouse and inspected, either a correct replacement unit will be shipped out or a refund will be issued for the full amount of the order if the correct unit is unavailable.
  • All returns or exchanges must be pre-approved by e-mailing john@mainstreetdiecastclassics.com for authorization. Unauthorized returns WILL NOT be accepted.
  • In order for a return or exchange to occur, merchandise MUST be in original (unused) factory condition and original (unused) factory supplied package. It must be packaged exactly as manufacturer packed it. All returns or exchanges will be fully inspected. If you would like to return an item to us please securely pack the item in its original packing material along with the original invoice or proof of purchase (or a copy) and send it via USPS, UPS or any other trackable ground shipping method. We cannot issue credits or refunds for items that we have not received. Proof of delivery may be necessary. Please note: DO NOT fix or glue little parts without our authorization. We will not accept any item back if it was altered in any way, used (not original) or comes back to us without original (used) factory supplied package.

 60 DAY RETURNS

  • If more than 21 days have gone by since your purchase, a 18% restocking fee will be assessed on each returned item.
  • All original shipping fees are non-refundable.
  • You will also be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning item or items.

  • After 60 days from purchase, all sales are final.

DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED ITEMS

  • If you have received a defective or damaged item, we must be notified at above address within 3 days of receipt so we can file a claim with the shipping carrier. If we are not notified right away, we will not be able to exchange the item or take it back for a refund. 

REFUSED DELIVERY

  • Returns falling under this category will be treated as Unwanted Returns, consequently they will be subject to a 18% restocking fee. The customer will also be responsible for the return shipping cost incurred by the action of refusing the delivery. A refund will be issued afterwards less 18% restocking fee of the value of the merchandise and less shipping and handling fees both ways.

 REFUNDS (IF APPLICABLE)

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card within 10 to 14 days.

 LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS (IF APPLICABLE)

  • If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account. Then, contact your credit card company. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us.

 CLEARANCE ITEMS (IF APPLICABLE)

  • Only regular or sale priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, clearance items cannot be refunded. The item will clearly will be marked "clearance" at time of purchase. 

 EXCHANGES (IF APPLICABLE)

  • We only replace item for exact same item if they are defective or damaged beyond repair.

 RETURN SHIPPING

  • An e-mail will be sent by john@mainstreetdiecastclassics.com to you with instructions as to how and where item or items are to be sent back. Please DO NOT return merchandise to the manufacturer.
  • Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged item or items to reach you, may vary.
